For south-facing facades—where the sun reaches its highest position in the sky and strikes at a steep angle—the most effective shading solution is horizontal louver systems. SACCIO Metal Horizontal Sun Breakers block solar rays before they reach the glass surface, preventing excessive indoor overheating during summer. In winter, since the sun comes in at a lower, more horizontal angle, the system allows daylight to enter and supports passive heating.

These systems are typically applied above windows in a “lip” (overhang) form or as continuous lines running along the facade. Our almond (lens)-shaped aerodynamic profiles minimize wind resistance and reduce noise generation. In addition, thanks to our systems integrated with a “catwalk,” safe walking areas can be created for facade cleaning and maintenance.
